Obsolete Parts Co. Inc. has been in business since 1968 offering
quality parts for Chevrolets. Owned and operated by Tim Tygart.
Ordering Methods: You can place your charge card or COD
order (money order or cashier’s check) by calling 1-800-248-8785
or by faxing your order to (229) 686-3056. You can also order
online at www.obschevy.com. Minimum charge card or COD order
is $10.00. Some items are special order and must be prepaid.

An order blank is provided on pages 165 and 167. On orders
shipped within the states (we do not charge a percentage for
shipping) we suggest estimating 15% of orders less than $100 ;
$18.50 plus 5% for orders over $100. Minimum shipping charge
is $9.00. Some orders require several boxes or special packag-
ing. Payment of the order plus a $45 crating fee is required before
the order is shipped. International orders will be shipped UPS Air
unless another carrier is requested, international customers please
also refer to additional information in “Shipping Information”.
Please use your Customer Number or Phone Number when placing
an order.
Prices: Due to periodic price increases from our suppliers,
prices are subject to change without notice. Updated catalogs
are included with an order upon request at no charge. We do not
maintain a mailing list.
Payment: We accept MasterCard, Visa or Discover card for
purchases of $10 or more. We also ship COD within the continen-
tal United States. UPS no longer accepts cash on cod’s, money
order or cashier’s check is required. We also accept money orders,
cashiers check or personal check for mail- in orders. Personal
checks are subject to be held 10 days for clearance. Charge card
or postal money order in U.S. funds is required for Canadian and
international customers.
Shi pping Information: Orders shipped within the U.S. are
shipped UPS unless another carrier is requested. Please supply a
business shipping address whenever possible. Canadian custom-
ers please specify UPS or Post Office. All other international orders
will be shipped UPS Air (see additional information below). Some
orders are too large or heavy for UPS or Post Office and will be
shipped truckline. We charge a $45.00 crating fee on truckline
shipments. If the carrier is unable to deliver the package and it is
returned to us, you will be responsible for the freight cost incurred
before another order can be shipped.
International Customers: All orders will be shipped UPS Air un-
less another carrier is requested. We will only ship United States
Post Office to areas where the packaged can be insured. We must
have a written or faxed copy of the order. Phone orders will not
be accepted. A processing fee of 10% of the invoice total will be
added to all orders.
Returns: Special order items, such as interior kits, carpet,
radios, and air conditioning units are not returnable. Merchandise
must be returned in original condition. We reserve the right to
replace incorrect or defective merchandise. Please include a copy
of the invoice and state the reason for return. Some returns may
be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Items originally purchased by
credit card will be credited to the charge card; other returns will
be refunded by company check. Refund checks will be mailed the
week following the return being received. Our street address is

Backorders: Any items not available for shipment when your
order was placed will be backordered and shipped as soon as
possible. You will be charged for the part and shipping cost when
the item is shipped. These items will be listed on the invoice as
backordered. Please notify us if you wish to cancel a backorder.
Damage Claims, Shortages & Incorrect Merchandise: Your order
has been pulled, checked and carefully packaged to insure your
order is received correctly and in good condition. Please open your
package immediately and verify you have received the items you
were billed for and that they are in good condition. Before reporting
missing parts, inspect all packaging materials since many parts are
wrapped in cardboard or paper; also check the box to make sure it
has not been opened and retaped and then notify Obsolete Chev-
rolet. We use brown tape on our packages, UPS will use clear tape
to retape an opened package. Damage claims or shortages for UPS
or Post Office shipments must be reported within 3 days of receipt
of shipment. All shipments are insured. If you are reporting a dam-
age, please retain the box and packaging materials for inspection
by the carrier. Notify the carrier of the damage. If it was shipped
UPS, call 1-800-742-5877 or contact your local post office for post
office deliveries. The carrier will inspect the package and return
the damage parts to us. We will ship a replacement part to you.
If you believe you have received an incorrect part, call us and we
will assist you in getting the correct part. If your order is shipped
Truckline, please open and inspect the package before signing and
releasing the shipment. If the shipment has been damaged, have
the driver detail the damage on the bill of lading before you sign for
the package. Call Obsolete Chevrolet and we will handle the claim
with the truckline. Save all packaging materials. If you release the
package from the truckline without inspecting the part(s), Obsolete
Parts Co., Inc and the delivering truckline are not responsible for
any damages.
Guarantee: All parts are guaranteed against defects in manufac-
turing and workmanship. Liability of Obsolete Chevrolet is limited
to the replacement of the part.
Company Information: We are located 220 miles south of Atlanta.
If you are traveling South on Interstate 75, exit at #62 to Hwy 82
East. Go approximately 15 miles and turn South on Hwy 129 in
Alapaha. Nashville is about 10 miles. Continue South thru Nash-
ville and take a left at Hardee’s on Hazel Avenue. We are on the
left, about 1 mile. If you are traveling North on Interstate 75, exit
#39 and take Hwy 76 East about 12 miles to Nashville. Continue
straight through the traffic light which becomes Hazel Avenue, we
are located 1 mile on the left.
